I have an area that requires CAT 2 PPE bases on incident energies. Workers will be operating a 4KV breaker from a remote station. Because of design the remote station is only 2m away from breaker, therefore requiring CAT 2 based on our plant conditions. Remote station will cause worker to have his/her back to the breaker. Will the faceshield cause a "scoping" of plasma should an arc-flash occur? I can not find any information in z462-18 talking about body position with use of a faceshield. I am likely to recommend use of a hood to play it safe but would love and information if anyone has it. FYI, faceshield use would be with a balaclava.
