Switched from a Camry to an FJ Cruiser and my back is actually happier but my wallet is confused

I spent years driving a boring but reliable sedan and honestly never thought twice about the suspension aside from the one time I had to replace a strut at about a hundred thousand kays, but ever since I picked up this FJ a few months ago because I wanted something that could handle a weekend camping trip to Fujairah without bottoming out on every wadi crossing I've become hyper aware of every little thunk and vibration that comes through the floorboards especially when I'm just doing the mundane school run through Jumeirah and hitting those raised crossings that seem to multiply overnight. The funny thing is the ride is actually way more comfortable on the big bumps and the dips compared to the old car, but the sheer weight of the thing and the way it pitches forward when I brake for a yellow light has me noticing the dubai driving effects on suv suspension in a way I never did with the lighter car, like all that mass just loads up the bushings and the joints so much more dramatically in stop start traffic. I was curious if it was just me being paranoid about a used vehicle so I ended up doing a bit of digging and found a decent write up on thedubaiweb that explained how these body on frame trucks just have a different wear pattern out here compared to unibody cars because the components are taking a constant beating from the combination of the heat and the weight transfer. At this point I've accepted that I'm probably going to be on a first name basis with the guys at the alignment shop but I guess that's the trade off for being able to see over everyone else in the car park and not having to worry about scraping the front lip on every single driveway.
