Post subject:  DC Arc Flash & Shock Information

I am at the NFPA 70E Technical Committee ROP Meetings (Report on Proposals) this week.

I am happy to report that if this information gets into NFPA 70E we will see it in CSA Z462 as well.

NFPA 70E is considering adding content to Table C(9) which is Table 4 in CSA Z462, and adding a DC Shock Approach Boundaries Table (would most likely show up after Table 1). There may also be some DC Arc Flash formulas. This would all be preliminary information based on IEEE papers, study work, and some preliminary DC arc flash study work completed by Bruce Power (THANKS!!!)

Good news to get some clarify on DC!!!

The DC info will be a welcome addition. I know some of the tests were done several years ago and I'm glad some of the information will finally see daylight.
