We currently utilize 40 cal hoods that do not have vents. Many of our electricians are complaining about lens fogging and I was wondering if anyone out there has had success with the hoods that have vents. In addition, is there a chance that in the event of an electrical failure that any portion of the arc could be sucked in to the hood by the battery powered vent? In advance, thanks for your opinions. The problem of Flash hoods lacking ventilation & causing the faceshield to fog has been a problem for years now. Oberon manufactured a antifog scratch resistant faceshield for longer lasting life expectancy. Also to answer your question about the ventilation fans, we also stock flash hoods that come with the non conductive ventilation systems built in. They work absolutely great! The majority of our clients buy them with the hoods. Especially helps in the summer time. |
