Recently at the company I work for we had completed an Arc Flash Hazard Analysis and training. I will try to help out whenever I can on Arc Flash as it can be tricky.
I do have a general question for the people in this forum. I work for a company that manufacturers toner. So the atmosphere is dusty but not overly dusty. Right now the employees wear polyester clothing when working in the plant. I was wondering what other companies are doing for PPE as a BMP in dusty atmospheres. Do you think polyester is fine for this atmosphere or are companies using all long sleeve cotton clothing for the atmosphere.
Thank You,
AJ

OSHA strictly disalows meltable fabrics like polyester when a worker is potentially exposed to arc flash hazards. Been that way since 1994.
