Here is a theoretical review of what is plausible regarding arc blast until more data is published. The summary is that there is a lot of fear mongering out there that doesn't hold up.

Our paper of 2 years ago assessed the models.

http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/7499702/ and did some real measurements with sensors that didn't peak and with a physical method.

Our new paper goes further and can be attended at the IEEE Electrical Safety Workshop in 2018
