An arc flash risk assessment requires using one of two methods for selecting arc flash PPE. The PPE Category Method: 130.7(C)(15) Tables and an incident energy analysis (arc flash study)
Which PPE selection method do you use MORE OFTEN?

Our company is a consulting engineering firm and we are not safety specialists. We determine the anticipated Incident Energy and let the customer's safety specialist determine the appropriate level of PPE. Often, the customer's safety specialists will go up one level of PPE than what was determined necessary by IE analysis.
