This week’s question is about performing a short circuit and coordination study as part of an arc flash study.

Technically, these two studies are a separate analysis but yet their results are necessary for performing incident energy calculations.

I still hear some say they perform the study based on existing short circuit and coordination studies that are available (the age of the studies is for another discussion)

This week’s question is pretty simple:

Do you bid/perform/specify short circuit/coordination studies as part of the arc flash study?

Yes
No, we use existing studies
A mix – many studies sites/clients involved
Not applicable to me
