DC voltage continues to be a topic of discussion. Especially areas of higher DC voltage. This week's question is simple:
What is the highest DC voltage that you/clients have? Less than 50V 50-600V 601-1500V Greater than 1500V No DC systems

Actually if you have inverters and 460V in your plant, you have 650+ VDC in your inverter. Most inverters have either the DC bus or the DBR terminals brought out to the terminal strip.
When I was at Parker, we actually used common bus systems. I had several drives in my cubical for assisting customers with product support, and I supplied 460V to one drive and powered up 2 others using that drive's DC Bus. Most drives I did not run a motor on them and only connected to the drive to troubleshoot the customers' configuration problems.
