The arc flash duration has quite an impact on the incident energy. It is normally defined by how long it takes an upstream protective device to clear the fault. This week’s question is about whether your company/clients use fuses (assumed to be current limiting) or circuit breakers. I reference power distribution circuits to distinguish from control circuits
