The 2021 NFPA 70E has two major additions regarding capacitor safety.
Article 360 Safety-Related Requirements for Capacitors and Annex R Working Safely with Capacitors.
This new information addresses special requirements for establishing an electrically safe work condition when capacitors can have stored energy. Annex R has many calculations for stored energy, arc blast and much more.
Here is this week’s question:

Do you have capacitors on your/client’s systems?
Less than 1000V
Greater than 1000V
No capacitors
A mix – depends on site

Select up to 3

I will be discussing this and many other new additions and changes as part of a FREE LIVE BROADCAST of the 2021 NFPA 70E Changes Thursday June 18, 2020 at 10 am Pacific and 1 PM Eastern time.
