This week’s question has come up on several occasions.

Since arc flash labels are showing up more on DC equipment, should there be a label on or near dc batteries / battery racks?

Yes – we label on/near rack
No – we don’t label the rack
No Battery Racks

Usually, there will be a fused disconnect switch or circuit breaker that is located near the Battery Racks. When there is one, we will label this disconnect or CB (using the Line Side Option) but not the battery rack. If there is no switch or CB near by, then we will provide a label for the battery rack.
