This week’s question is a follow up to last week regarding the likely deletion of the 40 cal/cm2 note from the 2018 NFPA 70E.

Many use the signal word DANGER when the incident energy is greater than 40 cal/cm2. A questions was raised by one of our forum members to see if this practice may change with the deletion of the 40 cal/cm2 note.

This week’s question is specifically about labeling.

Will you/client(s) change labeling practices when the 40 cal/cm2 is deleted?

No/Probably not

Doesn’t Apply to Me
