It is well known that the further a person is from an arc flash, the less the incident energy exposure is. There are many devices available on the market to increase this distance via remote operation.
Have you/company/clients used remote operation to increase distance. Yes No No but considering it

Regarding arc flash and safe distance, I've participated in projects using remotely operated medium-voltage circuit breakers. Experience has shown that increasing the distance significantly reduces the risk to technicians during operation. However, the initial investment cost is quite high, so it's usually only applied to areas with high incident energy. According to IEEE 1584 guidelines, distance directly affects the level of exposure.
