Hello,

I was wondering if a Switchboard or Panelboard has its feeder wires insulated and termination points shielded with plastic/insulation, then the Arc Flash rating of the switchboard/panelboard should be the same as though nothing was insulated?

The cal/cm2 number would not change. I'm thinking the insulation might protect against a shock, but not an Arc Flash explode.

Just asking if this assumption is correct.
