I wonder if you have an opinion on the best practices to wear a balaclava. Should it be tucked under the shirt? Should it cover the nose? Any reference in the latest version of the NFPA 70E 2021? I can't do a search because now you cannot order the PDF version of this standard.

Tucked and nose covered (opinion). There are no 70E references that I'm aware of.

Check out the shrouded hardhat with liftable faceshield in lieu of the balaclava. We recently performed a wear trial of this product and was very impressed. Our field electricians prefer this over the balaclava.
