This may be software-specific, maybe not. I'm modeling a multi-sectional MDP wherein a main breaker feeds subsequent sections which are open (i.e. there is no internal arc barricade from one section to the next, so an arc blast in one section will easily travel into the adjacent sections). How would you model this in software? I'm using EasyPower, but the solution may or may not be specific to EasyPower. Normally, the software treats a "bus feeding a breaker feeding another bus" scenario as independent compartments, which is not accurate to the situation. Feel free to ask any questions you need to help flesh this out. |

Can you model as one bus since it's not sectionalized any way? Mike |

Are you suggesting I model it as one bus only for the incident energy calculations? like creating a separate scenario specifically for the calorie calcs? |

I am suggesting model as a single bus. In my opinion, line load side bus is irrelevant. Include your main/feeder breakers per field observations. Mike |
