Just a question out of curiosity mostly for those that have and routinely use SKM, ETAP and Easy Power have you by chance run the same study using the exact same input data in two or all three of the aforementioned software products and if so, was the output identical as far as short circuit and incident energy goes?

We have found that the answers are close but not exact. That is because every vendor models the protective devices differently. Also, the conductor libraries are often not exactly the same. Slight differences in impedances will cause slight differences in short circuit currents, and arc flash energies.
The only time I have seen a huge deviation was after a Vendor updated their software and the new version did not calculate line to ground faults correctly.
