Remote Racking - Now available in the UK and Europe

    It increase arc flash safety by enabling the service technician to rack low and medium voltage draw-out circuit breakers while standing outside the arc flash protection boundary.

    The Eaton unit is nice if you only have Eaton breakers and don't need it to be portable, but if you have other breaker types and need to move it around from substation to substation the ArcSafe unit is a better fit, universal for all breaker types and much lighter. It is also CE approved, I don't think the Eaton unit has been CE approved yet, unless that changed recently.

    we have the cbs machine to rack ge 2400v magna blast breakers, but we still needed to enter the hazard zone. so we designed and built our own racking sys that allows use to rack the breakers from 30 feet away without having to open cubicle door. we were a cat4 or higher, now we can rack the breakers at cat 2 or less protection. have had sys for approx 2yrs.

    They offer a wirless option that allows for closed door racking. They also had a new one being displayed at the IEEE show last month, big improvement over the first generation, supervisory links, tilt sensing, etc...
