CSA Z462 download

Discussion in 'CSA Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety' started by Sharp Instruments, Aug 24, 2009.

Can you download the CSA Z462? I found the thread for the old draft but it is expired. Can anyone direct me to a download or do we have to buy the printed copy?

    Thanks

Often an outright download will be copyright problem - we'll want to avoid those problems on the forum.

However perhaps there is something available that is similar to NFPA's method - They have a viewer only version that allows viewing the 70E standard but not copying, downloading or printing. I checked with NFPA's legal department a while ago and this viewer version was acceptable to NFPA. Maybe CSA has something similar?

CSA does offer CSA Z462 for download at a cost similar to a printed copy (80 $CAN for purchases in Canada, don't know the price for foreign buyers). To my knowledge, they don't offer a trial (or similar) version.

Thanks for the help guys. It's a little disapointing they don't offer a free download, but thanks for letting me know.

There is not online viewing of CSA Z462 provided by CSA, you have to purchase a pdf of hard copy.

FYI, over 7000 copies have sold nationally to September 1, 3300 in ON and 1100 in Alberta.

No Province has adopted it into law as this time, but SK will reference it in an incident investigation, they have the most stringent arc flash language in the OH&S Regulations.

Nothing new with respect to CSA Z462 being adopted into law in any Province or Territory or Federally.
