2009 NFPA 70E errors - how to report them

Discussion in 'NFPA 70E - Standard for Electrical Safety in the W' started by MarkColby, Jan 23, 2009.

I was just comparing the NFPA 70E (2009) to Canadian Z462-08 and noticed that in the NFPA 70E on page 70E-25, in Table 130.2(C), the "Restricted Approach Boundary (column (4)) that many of the metric distances are incorrect. Someone made an error when converting from feet/inches to meters or mm.

The Z462-08 is correct in all of their conversions (see Dec 08 Z462-08 page 34, Table 1).

    The NFPA 70E is wrong.

    Mark,
As we discussed on the telelphone, you are correct, there are a few numbers that are off a bit. I checked with one out at our last 1584 meeting and it was suggested that you or someone submit a proposal to change it in the next Edition of 70E. That's about the only way to make sure it is addressed.
    Good Catch!

There is an errata for NFPA 70 E 2009 on the NFPA web site. The print-out I have says please see www.nfpa.org/codelist.
