Arc Flash for SWBD c/w Main BKR & Feder BKR's

    In regards to calculating energy and attaching arc flash labels to switchboards / panels (which has main breaker and many feeder breakers), I appreciate if anyone who's familiar with NFPA, IEEE and safety practices to clarify the following:
    1-Where do we consider calculating the energy on the switchboard / panel (on the line side of the main breaker, or the load side of the main breaker)?
    2-Do we require attaching labels on each breaker of the switchboard / panel ? If that’s requested by the client, in this case, do we consider calculating the energy after the breaker (on the load side) or before the breaker (on the line side) of each breaker ( Main or Feeder)?

    It sounds to me from your post that your company has been hired to do this analysis, I would hope that you are familar with NFPA 70E and IEEE.

    You calulate the Ei for the equipment, if you are talking about a breaker then you need to consider what is feeding it for your analysis.
