Can someone explain what is ment by 18" distance on the labels on panels ?
the lab, pab , rab, what do the distances mean? How do you work on them when you have to maintain a distance? I am lost on this stuff.

Knowing what those mean on how to apply it are basic concepts that should have been covered in your training to become a "qualified person:, not having this training means you shoul dnot be allowed to be doing the work.

But, chance are the 18" is your asumed working distance, meaning the calulated Ei on the label is calulated at that distance. 18" just happnes to be the average length of an outstreched arm to the torso of the worker.

Now, please go ask your employer for training, he is required to provide it to you.
