Just saw this "Zog What about that operator/office body that has to operate a breaker on a daily basis say to turn their machine on, turn on building lights, note you mention something about that in a post? what is required? can they legally?
      "

A person can be trained for a specific task per the 70E, they are still considered a non-qualified person but have the proper training to perform that task only, hazards, PPE required, operation, construction, and interlocks of the equipment theyare assigned to operate.

If there is an arc flash hazard present the person operating the breaker needs to be "Qualified", you can give them training on that specific task and the hazards and PPE required to perform that specific task. 70E PPE requirements are for everyone, you wont find the word "Electrician" anywhere in the standard (Besides FPN's)
